What can a retired professor of Botany tell us about the history of beer?

Quite a lot, apparently.

Also, he roller-blades. That’s cool.

I’ve just listed his talk at the Academy of Natural Sciences next week on the Beer Yard calendar, where all events go to become famous. It’s free, by the way.

Thanks to Felicia D’Ambrosio, who covers the beer beat for City Paper, for the heads-up. Her interview with that roller-blading academic is here.

  1. Thanks for the re-post! I think I am slightly besotted with Dr. Ernie, rollerblades and all.
