13 Million Cases.

Want to get some idea of the difference in scale between of major wholesalers in a given market? Read this story by reporter Sarah E. Moran in the West Chester Daily Local News from last Thursday. It’s about the acquisition of Spaz Beverage’s distribution rights in Chester County by Origilio, something we noted here on January 29.

Here’s the money shot paragraph:

Spaz Beverage sells 900,000 cases of beer annually, split between its wholesale and retail operations. Origlio Brothers, which has no retail store, wholesales 13 million cases a year.

Now that they have the Kunda portfolio and that Chester County market sewn up, what do you think the number will be in 2009?
