How come it is that there were no April Fool’s Day stories at the Beer Yard site this year? That’s what the emailers have asked for the last two days. Well, part of it was about my discovering that “weekend” thing that all you regular folks are so happy with, and part of it was due to my growing disinterest–Can something which is decreasing be seen as “growing?” I have to look into that–in blogging of late (a topic I will consider here or at Mermaids or both in the near future).
Not that I didn’t think about it. And had I found the interest, inclination or time (that weekend attitude again), these are the headlines of at least two stories which might have been posted:
BRYSON ANNOUNCES PLAN FOR MASSIVE EXPANSION
Citing a steadily growing list of writing assignments and his two crusades for more sessionable beers and less PLCB, the famed writer has signed up for an experimental cloning program in order to create a phalanx of Lews
