So what do you do if your signature event is all about goats and you need a new signature event for your other location?

Hey, goats eat cans, right?

Sly Fox has already established a KanJam competition as one of its Philly Beer Week perennials (at The Four Seasons, no less) and this is the second competition on their own grounds (the first was held at Sly Fox Brewhouse & Eatery in Phoenixville last September 4).

They hope to make this another annual destination event and  are going all out to bring it up to the level of the Bock Fest (which you folks recently selected as the region’s best beer event). Just look at the musical lineup: John Train, Mason Porter, Vinegar Creek Constituency, A Cool Stick and maybe more. Plus lots of beer.

I think “win your team’s weight in beer” is perhaps the key phrase in all of this. Looking forward to seeing some teams which look like they belong in a pro wrestling event.

wow, maybe that should be on the BY calender

As I understand it, the event is currently under review by the Beer Yard’s legal and compliance team to determine whether it meets the standards for such an august placement. I can only presume they will, as they have in the past, come to the proper conclusion.

  4. Jack Curtin says:

    august – adjective meaning “honored”

August – noun, the month between July and September
